Domestic Abuse – Protective Orders & Other Remedies

November 29, 2019 @ 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm

The BNLF Family Network cordially invites you to a seminar about Domestic Abuse and the forms of Protective Orders and other remedies that can be obtained from the courts.
According to the Office for National Statistics, in 2018, 2 million adults experienced domestic abuse (1.3 million women, and 695,000 men). This seminar aims to increase awareness of legal protection available to survivors of domestic abuse, especially those from the BAME community.

In organising this event we mark the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence from 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, until 10 December, Human Rights Day.
This event is open to all lawyers, social workers and other stakeholders in the Justice System.
